SIck beats

I could see this going from dance to dubstep easily. Either way I like it and I hope you'll let me know when the official comes out. :3

Only thing- I would separate the synth in the intro- it just goes on together too much x.x but into the verse or chorus? is flawless. :3

FINALLY :D

A good hardstyle artist. :D
I'mma check you out later. I just wanna know if you have any more x.x Its hard to find a good hardstyle/jumpstyle artist on here and you are pretty epic. I just wish you could up the bass, add a different melody slightly softer than the main, and have the bass come in sooner, but it is just personal preference. :P

Anyways, nice work, I want more. :3

Xayro responds:

Unfortunately, no. My serious music is flow-style electroacoustic music. And I do some eurodance from time to time. I wrote this track because someone liked the jumpstyle section I did in a remix, so I decided to do a full track. I will do more stuff like this, however, it won't be in abundance.

Glad you enjoyed it! It's definitely not bad for a song that took 30 minutes to produce and compose XD

HAHAHAHAHAHAH.

10 stars just because you made me laugh so hard xD
I've never heard a "happy" dubstep song before. I'm hoping this was made in a major key?o.o But uh, yeah, this reminded me of the original SNES games, but Donkey Kong more than anything xD Idk why,m but I could see DK swinging or exploding out of a barrel.

Now for the review- DUN DUN DUNNNNN.(;
The bass could come in sooner and add a drop. Drop about 3/5 through the song. You can add a demi-drop anywhere between 30-45 seconds. Optional. See, the thing is that you have a lot going on, and some of the sounds don't mix well with each other. You also just rush everything at the end- it ends abruptly. You could fade it out or mix it down to just a piano, or end on a drop.

The sounds don't mix well, such as the xylophone like one and the saw? Drums are decent, bass could be turned up, but for a first try, pretty decent bass. Interesting melody, but don't have the melody continue through the bass. Take a look at xKore for some great examples. It just gets really crazy with all the different synths and leads -.- I mean, you've got some great composing skills, just learn to identify which sounds will work.

I think I've written a good review, but my mind is still half-asleep, so don't kill me x,x

Kirbyfemur responds:

Well this is mearly a work in progress, and i'm still in the process to just getting everything to sound decent and get some structure to it. But hopefully soon it will be finished :3

Bahah.

Have you worked on dubstep before? It sure sounds like it. It's not bad, but I think it'd be better if it had an actual melody. Of course that is just personal preference xP Either way, your bass is pretty epic- a lot of dubstep artists on here need to add moar bass to their works. Drums work well with the bass, and snare is interesting. What is it?o.o It also makes a pretty epic loop xD

Anyways, check out xKore, or Blizzaine for bass and dubstep that has a melody.
Sorry if this review isn't full or whatever.^^; I'm a little tired still.

Zoombip responds:

Hey man, yea, i've worked on dubstep before but failed miserably whilst getting to grips with Reason 5. I think the software is no longer my main problem anymore as i've messed about with it loads and know a fair bit about how it works x)
Been trying to brush up on my music "theory" the last couple of days and weeks; getting to know how to harmonise notes so that i can keep my bass sounding epic :D
The drums on this one just seemed to fit by pot luck and a bit of knowledgable tweaking of the settings of my samples :)
As for the snare, i think i downloaded it in a free sample pack (from boyinaband dot com) and it is called "snare21" . I slightly modded the sample to make the exact sound you hear in this (made it shorter and harder hitting).

As for xKore, Blizzaine, etc i can safely say i already have most of their work downloaded to my music library on my computer x)
Dubstep probably delivers about 80%+ of my listening pleasures x)

Thanks for taking the time to write a helpful review!

Wow o.e

My mind's blown. I recently heard a Daft Punk Tron: induced song and it blew my mind- for an original song this blows my mind. One of the best I've heard in the newly submitted for a while.

Alright, now it changes a lot, and it changes fast. I like the vocal at the beginning though. Also, the strings are a great addition. Up the bass or add a smoother cello synth. Have something to counteract the strings. I know you want it to be fast paced and have drastic changes, but make the transition a little less rough in the beginning from the strings to synth- have the strings continue and fade out while the synth comes in.

I love the synth. What did you use to make this? Anyways. The sounds are great. If it's just mastered a bit more and add a more original bass line, it'd be flawless. But, not gonna lie, I love the part around 1:38-3:04. Great flow right there. It all works together and the strings in the background are an amazing asset. Now, I rarely say this, but I love your pause, rewind, play at 3:04.

I can't think of a better review, so sorry if some stuff isn't making sense. xD
I just woke up -.-

anyways.

Daydream-Anatomy responds:

I use z3ta+ for most of my music lately, and I agree with all the parts that you liked, they stand out, the pause was something i've never done with w/e those pauses are called (i think there's a music term for themXD) All the strings were garritons pocket orchastra or something, I just got it, and thought I'd try to use it.

I'm glad you liked this one, I wasn't getting an opinion on it for a lil bit, and it had me worried people might not like this one.

Thanks for all the reviews and faving me dude, I really appreciate it:]

Has a great future-

Alright, first thing- the levels are completely out of place. I hear no bass at all (using headphones even), guitars have too much treble or tone, and I can't hear the lead when everything else is going on in the intro. That being said, I do like everything else. It has a really good future. :3 Sorry, I'm kinda lazy today and my brain's not functioning right so I can't give a full review -.-

I appericiate your time. All the tracks up on my newgrounds page are all still demos. Literally recorded with rockband mics. We're going into the studio next month to get our stuff prof done.

This coulda been great:o

Turn down the synth/choir(?) you used in the beginning because it completely overpowered the song. I mean, it fits well, but it's so loud and distracted me from listening to the full track. Also, turn the bass up. I mean like..UP UP. The drums are beast, Bass could be worked on, but everything else was nice and flowed together smoothly. I really enjoyed it. :3
I just wish there was a drop but then again... haha.

Well even if i wanted to i cantr this song is over 9000 listens. So i cant edit it. And good thing too!! I wouldnt want to changed it. However i would have liked to lower the volume of the intro. But thats pretty much it. :P

Very nice mellow piece.

If I could put two bands together and add vocals, I'd want it to be you. You remind me of Anamanguchi and Owl City together, just add vocals. Obviously you'll have your insane .. whatever effects they are .. fills, but I could see vocals working here. Either way, with or without, this is a very nice piece. :3

OpenLight responds:

Thank you! This review means a lot.

I've always wanted to add vocals, but I'm not a fantastic singer. My sister's amazing at singing but I also don't have recording equipment.

This is an older song but I'll be sure to keep your comment in mind for future songs.

Where's the Mastering?o.o

I could barely hear the guitar, which is what usually holds my attention. Other than that, I loved the main riff and the piano was a wonderful addition. Just turn up the guitar, add vocals, cue up a more intense synth, and you have a sick song. :3
If this had vocals and a more distorted guitar, I could see downloading it. Only reason why I'm not is because I won't listen to it unfortunately :< But still, great job. :D

Ok, My word of Advice -

The wobbs don't seem to go together at all, especially when you stop the melody. Keep the melody and then add the drops. Also, there doesn't seem to be a main point here- like, it's all thrown in randomly together. Ok, well, not randomly, but I think it could be done much better. Also, work on the bass. GIVE IT MOAR BASS. The bass seems to have a lot of treble.
