Yeah, Fruity Loops is great. The biggest plus is that its good to start with and you can make some very good tracks once you master it.
To start, watch some tutorials on youtube like I did and then practice. Once you understand the basics, go try some stuff yourself, try to experiment.
Also, if you are going fo FL, you can send me a pm for any specific questions. I am however only producing for 1-2 years but ill try to help as much as i can.

Fl is good for beginning or learning more. There's lots of VST's available.
Skrillex used an $80 VST called massive.
Now, I haven't found any possible way to use massive in Reason...
But if you like live recording from midi, Reason works really great in that sense.
Well I'll leave it at that.

I use FL studios, not sed anything else. If you're just beginning, try the demo version. I started with that and loved it. So I got the full version.

I'm just starting out and I wanna do everything at once, but that doesn't work -.- I'm in a few bands: a pop punk one called SleepTill3, an electric one called TechnicolourNuance, and a solo one called DearxLove. I'm studying music theory but I'm hitting dead ends. I also wanna know how to get sounds and how everything works for different programs. I'll try that demo out- think you can help though?o:
